Historic Brookdale

Three homes adjacent to each other on this historic street in Fullerton needed curb appeal. Important to both was creating a sense of entry, and a place for the owners to sit and greet neighbors on this friendly street. On one home, the solid concrete driveway was broken up into flagstone size pieces and laid in-between used brick ribbons for a more attractive and permeable driveway. On the other, a raised patio and sofa with tile and fountain were shaped in a semi-private circle to create a dramatic entry to the colorful home. The third home has a more comfortable entry and materials are repeated for continuity with the architecture.
